Currently I have been working on a series of grid paintings, developing colour combinations and looking at colour theory and the use of colour in the History of Art and early Scientific discoveries.  At the moment I am planning a series of 10 grid paintings based on colour combinations picked randomly by 10 friends/colleagues. The brief is to draw a circle around 5 pages of codes (numerical) which relate to a specific universal colour coding system used in commercial print industry (Pantone) , which are then cut into indivdual pieces(1 polygon = specific colour swatch: pantone)  and then dropped physically onto a blank piece of paper and shuffled randomly into place (Polygon Grid) so no (Pre-determined) choosing of colours can take place by myself or the person asked to circle codes.  This gives me the task of painting completely random colour combinations which will then play of each other as a larger piece of work.
